Los Angeles Times Festival Of Books The Ideal Event For The Literary Enthusiast

The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will be held this year on the 25th and 26th of April 2009 which is a Saturday and Sunday. The event is ideal for the literary enthusiasts and book lovers. There will be over 50 books and poetry readings. The festival will comprise of over 100 author panels and there will be hundreds of book signings taking place. It is speculated that at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books that there will be over a dozen musical cultural and literary presentations. The Los Angeles Festival of Books will be held at the University of California Los Angeles Campus. On Saturday the 25th of April the event will start at10 am and will go on till 6 pm. On Sunday the 26th of April the event will start off at 10 am and go on till about 5 pm. Admission to this event is free but parking will come at a cost of 9.
There will be about four hundred and fifty authors at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. Some of the authors include Henry Winkler Larry Wilmore Joseph Wambaugh Tori Spelling Danica McKellar Marlee Matlin Sandra Tsing Loh Arianna Huffington Jeff Henderson Michael J. Fox Kate DiCamillo Robert Crais Tom Bergeron and David Baldacci.

When the Ottomon Turks arrived the Greeks loaded their donkeys and horses with these objects carried them over the mountains and buried them on the Archaggelos cemetery in Lapta. Legends say there were 12 coffins on the cemetery filled with these valuables.
After Greece became independent in 1821the Greeks are said to have carried out these coffins in the 1860s by pretending to be moving corpsesshifting the valuables from the mountainside Archaggelos cemetery to the Aygolisa cemetery and finally smuggling them out of Cyprus. During this period the island was under British rule and it is known that many other valuables were smuggled out of Cyprus during their command. Pieces of art and tombs belonging to the Cikko Monastery were loaded on Greek ships and taken to the city of Prea in Greece.
Northern Cyprus Holidays One of Greeces largest monasteries and a large amount of Christian Saints tombs are also located in Prea. The tomb of Apostolos Andreas for example is not here in the Andrea Monastery but in Prea. The smuggling of these artifacts is one of the reasons why the relationship between Archbishop Makarios requested that the valuables be brought back when he became President of the Republic of Cyprus. The Greek government however refused to comply with his demand.

When you’re in Hong Kong the one thing to highlight on your itenary is spending a whole say shopping at Causeway Bay. Located in the center of Hong Kong it host a whole lot of stores boutiques restaurants and also electronic spots. It’s as if branded stores are strewn along the area the most dynamic distric in Hong Kong. Between the two gigantic mall mentioned. There are some small mall like fashion islands. World Trade Center Mitsukoshi and Cuaseway Bay Plaza. Keep ypur eyes open you’ll find some other major department stores in the bay that will tempt you to “shop till you drop”. They house many trendy shops carrying locally made fashion as well as products from Japan Europe and the United States’ Cruising through the ares si going to be a long and tempting trip.
